ALGIERS – Wednesday, 13 December 2023 (APS) – Minister of Trade and Exports Promotion Tayeb Zitouni received the chief of mission of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Chris Geiregat, as part of the annual consultations of IMF, the ministry said in a statement.
In this meeting, held Tuesday at the ministry’s headquarters, Zitouni reviewed “the reforms undertaken in the Trade and Exports Promotion sector in 2023, in addition to the aspirations regarding the internal and external trade policy,” the statement said.
On this occasion, the minister highlighted the main reforms initiated by the president of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, in favor of the diversification of non-hydrocarbon exports, the statement concluded.
