ALGIERS – Wednesday, 18 October 2023 (APS) – The Speaker of the Council of the Nation Salah Goudjil affirmed Wednesday, in Algiers, that the Zionist aggression against the Palestinian people has exceeded all red lines, in blatant violation of the human rights, reiterating the position of the Algerian people and government in favor of the Palestinians.
In a plenary session devoted the discussion of the government’s general policy statement, in the presence of Prime Minister Aïmene Benabderrahamane, and members of the government, a minute’s silence was observed in memory of the Palestinian martyrs.
In this regard, Goudjil denounced the massacres committed against the Palestinian people in the past 24 hours, stressing that “the Zionist aggression against the Palestinians has exceeded all red lines, in blatant violation of the human rights.”
The Speaker of the Parliament’s Upper House denounced “the positions of the countries that have always denigrated Algeria concerning human rights but remain silent in the face of the horrible massacres committed by the Zionist entity against the civilians in Gaza,” reaffirming “the position of Algeria, government and people, in favor of the Palestinian people.”
“We support them in their ordeal and no one can ignore the position of Algeria, government and people, in favor of the Palestinian people,” he said, emphasizing the strong message of the marches that will be held nationwide in support to the Palestinian people.
