ALGIERS – Monday, 27 November 2023 (APS) – President of the National Council for Human Rights (CNDH) Abdelmadjid Zaalani received, on Saturday, the President of the African Court on Human and Peoples’ Rights (CAFDHP), Imani Daud Aboud.
On this occasion, CAFDHP’s President thanked Algeria for hosting recently the 71st ordinary session of the CAFDHP as well as the 6th African Judicial Dialogue.
The meeting was also an opportunity for Imani Daud Aboud to make a presentation on the Court since its establishment, its missions and its fields of expertise, noting that the body strives continuously to “integrate the African jurisprudence into judgments issued by the countries’ courts that have ratified the protocol relating to the establishment of the African Court, including Algeria.
For his part, Zaalani hailed the role of the African Court and its jurisprudences, noting that the holding of the 71st session of the CAFDHP in Algeria was proof of its support for the promotion of Human Rights in Africa.
