ALGIERS – Thursday, 31 March 2022 (APS) – Algerian Football Association (FAF) has lodged an appeal against the scandalous refereeing that had affected the outcome of the second-leg play-off match between Algeria and Cameroon (1-2) in Mustapha Tchaker Stadium, in Blida, on Tuesday, the federal body posted Thursday on its official website.

“Algerian Football Association has filed an appeal, at the FIFA, against the scandalous refereeing that had affected the result of the second-leg play-off match between Algeria and Cameroon (1-2) in Mustapha Tchaker Stadium in Blida on 29 March 2022,” the body governing football in Algeria said.

It stressed that it “is determined to use all possible legal means for the restoration of our rights and get the match replayed in conditions ensuring honesty and unbiased refereeing.”

“Algerian Football Association also requested investigations by FIFA to shed full light on the refereeing of the match between Algeria and Cameroon.”
