ALGIERS – Sunday, 21 August 2022 (APS) – President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune on Sunday received a phone call from the president of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, Mohamed Ould Cheikh El-Ghazouani, during which he extended his condolences for the victims of the fires that hit some parts of the country, the presidency of the Republic said in a statement.
“President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune has received today a phone call from his brother, Mohamed Ould Cheikh El-Ghazouani, the president of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, during which he offered condolences, in his name and on behalf of the brother people of Mauritania, for the victims of the fires that hit some provinces of the country,” the statement said.
President Tebboune “thanked his brother, the president of Mauritania, for the deep feelings of solidarity and fraternity between the two brother peoples,” the statement concluded.
