ALGIERS – Monday, 22 May 2023 (APS) – The speaker of the Council of the Nation (upper house of Parliament), Salah Goudjil, received Sunday in Algiers the speaker of Zambia’s National Assembly, Nelly Butete Kashumba Mutti, with whom he discussed the bilateral relations and the ways to strengthen them.
The meeting, held in the headquarters of the upper house of Parliament, mainly focused on the ways and means to boost relations between Algeria and Zambia according to the guidelines of the president of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, and his Zambian counterpart, Hakinde Hilichima.
The two sides stressed the role of Parliamentary friendship groups in boosting ties between the MPs of the two countries, mentioning the current momentum in the political relations between the two friendly countries.
Goudjil emphasized the “historical relations” between Algeria and Zambia, and which are marked by a “convergence of views on the main regional and international issues and mutual support in international fora.”
