ALGIERS – Sunday, 04 June 2023 (APS) – The Council of the Nation (upper house of Parliament) will take part in the works of the fifth meeting of the Women Peace and Security Focal Points Network, to be held June 5-9 in Washington, the upper house said Sunday in a statement.
The Upper House will be represented at the meeting by Senator Nouara Djaafar, as a member of the Network of Women Parliamentarians and the Coalition of Women MPs from Arab Countries to Combat Violence against Women.
The meeting will be attended by MPs, politicians, experts, academics and representatives of the civil society, to be brought together in workshops and roundtables, the statement said.
