ALGIERS – Thursday, 07 December 2023 (APS) – Minister of Trade and Exports Promotion Tayeb Zitouni held Thursday, in Dar es Salaam (Tanzania), discussions with Tanzanian Minister of Trade Ashatu Kijaji, on avenues to strengthen the bilateral cooperation in trade, exports and exchange of experiences, the ministry said in a statement.

The meeting was held in the presence of Algeria’s ambassador to Tanzania Ahmed Djellal, on the sidelines of the participation of Zitouni in the 12th meeting of the Council of minister of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).

Zitouni affirmed the importance of strengthening trading between the two countries and facilitating the access of the Algerian products, like construction materials and pharmaceutical products to the Tanzanian market.

The two sides expressed their “joint willingness to strengthen the economic and commercial partnership between the two countries and to examine ways to bolster the joint investment and develop the industrial, agricultural and service sectors.”
