ALGIERS – Tuesday, 25 April 2023 (APS) – The Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Algeria, Fayez Abu Aita welcomed Tuesday the decision of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune to help his country evacuate two Palestinian families from the Sudanese capital Khartoum, following the crisis that shakes the country.
In a statement to APS, Abu Aita welcomed the positions of President Tebboune on the State of Palestine and the Palestinian people, saying that “the Palestinian leadership and people are grateful.”
As part of the implementation of the decision of the President of the Republic, the Algerian embassy in Sudan evacuated two Palestinian families consisting of 16 members from Khartoum. The families requested assistance and were dealt with as Algerian citizens, he said.
The Palestinian diplomat expressed his consideration “for this humanitarian gesture of Abdelmadjid Tebboune and for his courageous and honorable political positions in favor of the Palestinian right and Palestine in all regional and international forums.”
