SETIF – Saturday, 28 October 2023 (APS) – Minister of Tourism and Craft Industry Mokhtar Didouche said Saturday that the International Spa Tourism Forum, organized in Setif, “will give a strong impetus to spa tourism and introduce it among the international tourist destinations.”
In a speech made at the opening of the International Spa Tourism Forum, Didouche said that “it is an opportunity to all the operators of the field to present their programs and enquire about the novelties of the spa tourism market, while establishing lasting and permanent professional relations.”
The minister said that this “important forum comes within the framework of the implementation of the sector’s strategy in terms of promoting national tourism and Algeria destination in the world, strengthening its position and making it a leading tourist country in the region.”
This forum is also meant to “introduce the incentives granted by the State to encourage tourism investment, as provided for by the new law on investment which places a special emphasis on the sector by adopting a series of measures aimed to implement a climate conducive to investment as part of a global vision. The challenge is to make Algeria a promising destination for investment.”
He said that Algeria has shown “a real and ambitious willingness to give a boost to tourism and develop tourism investments, in order to promote tourist attractions in a country possessing all the natural assets.”
