HASSI BAHAMOU (Timimoun) – Thursday, 07 September 2023 (APS) – The CEO of the group Sonatrach, Toufik Hakkar, went Tuesday, the second day of his working and inspection visit to Hassi Messaoud, to the gas field of Hassi Bahamou, in the province of Timimoun, and which has been put into operation recently, the group said Wednesday in a statement.
As part of his visit programme started Tuesday to Hassi Messaoud, “the CEO of Sonatrach, Toufik Hakkar, went Wednesday to the gas field of Hassi Bahamou, province of Timimoun, put into operation recently, a field that will allow a production of 4.5 million m3 per day of natural gas,” the statement said.
The infrastructure for the development and operation of the gas field includes a collection system of 24 gas wells and a gas processing plant with a total capacity of six million m3 a day, according to the statement.
It also includes a 111-km transport line for the treated gas, a residential camp with a capacity of 270 workers, a road network of 150 km, and a 1.7-km landing strip.
