ALGIERS – Saturday, 13 May 2023 (APS) – National group Sonatrach, in partnership with the Italian partner ENI, held a technical workshop entitled “the protocol on the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and energy efficiency,” for the development of an action plan defining the future joint projects to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and achieve a sustainable energy transition, Sonatrach said in a statement.
Held Thursday at the headquarters of the general management of Sonatrach, the workshop is part of the implementation of the memorandum of strategic intent signed on 23 January 2023 relating to joint projects on carbon neutrality and reduction of greenhouse gas emissions as well as renewable energies.
The meeting was attended by engineers and executives from Sonatrach, experts from the Italian partner ENI and representatives of the Algerian Space Agency (ASAL).
The meeting was “aimed at developing an action plan defining future joint projects with the Italian partner ENI to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, while working for a sustainable energy transition,” the statement said.
