ALGIERS – Monday, 20 November 2023 (APS) – The International Textile, Clothing, Leather and Equipment Exhibition “TexStyle Expo” kicked off on Sunday Algiers, with the participation of nearly 170 national and foreign exhibitors.

Held from 19 to 21 November at the Exhibition Centre, Pins Maritimes in Algiers, this trade fair will be attended by more than a hundred foreign exhibitors, notably from China, Turkey, Tunisia, Egypt, Italy, Indonesia and India.

At the start of the event, General Secretary of the General Union of Algerian Workers (UGTA), Amar Takdjout, said that TexStyle Expo was “an opportunity for national players in the sector to explore partnership opportunities with their foreign counterparts.”

For his part, Vice-President of the Algerian Confederation of Citizen Employers (CAPC), Mohamed-Moncef Bouderba, a guest at the exhibition, highlighted the quality of the products presented, noting that the sector is in full expansion, thanks in particular to the investments made by public authorities to boost the sector.

“These investments will certainly help to strengthen technology transfer and partnerships, but they will also direct production towards foreign markets,” added.

Moreover, Managing Director of the company organising the show (CGCOM-EVENT), Mohamed-Lamine Bekkouche, said that the aim of the event was to promote exchanges and partnerships with a view to “developing a cutting-edge industry and quality materials to meet the requirements of customers on the local and international markets.”
