ALGIERS – Thursday, 26 October 2023 (APS) – Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad Ahmed Attaf received a phone call from his Omani counterpart Badr al-Busaidi, with whom he discussed the developments of the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories, notably in the strip of Gaza, the ministry said Thursday in a statement.
The two ministers stressed “the necessity of increasing efforts to end the Zionist aggression, stopping its blind strikes on the strip of Gaza, lifting the blockade imposed on it, rejecting the displacement of populations and assisting them with no restrictions or conditions,” said the source.
The two sides stressed also, according to the source, “the necessity of dealing with the deep causes of the conflict, by relaunching the peace process for a just and lasting solution leading to the establishment of an independent Palestinian State with al-Quds as capital, in accordance with the relevant resolutions of the United Nations and the Arab Peace Initiative.”
