ALGIERS – Sunday, 30 July 2023 (APS) – The President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune held phone talks with the President of Benin, his brother Patrice Talon, a statement from the Presidency of the Republic said on Saturday.
“The talks come on the eve of the extraordinary meeting of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) on Niger, due to be held Sunday, July 30, in Abuja,” said the source.
“The two presidents expressed their firmness on the return to constitutional order in Niger and the reinstallation of President Mohammed Bazoum in his functions as legitimately elected Head of State,” said the Presidency of the Republic.
