ORAN – Tuesday, 31 May 2022 (APS) – Minister of Communication Mohamed Bouslimani said Monday that the International Seminar of the Mediterranean news agencies, scheduled for Tuesday in Oran, will allow the promotion of the Mediterranean Games which will be held in this city from 25 June to 6 July 2022.
During his visit to the headquarters of the regional directorate of APS in the commune of Bir El Djir (Oran), Bouslimani pointed out that the organization of an international seminar of the Mediterranean news agencies “aims the promotion of these games at the national and international levels” and will help shed light on what was achieved to host this international sporting event.
The visit of the officials of the Mediterranean news agencies to Oran, as part of this seminar , “is an opportunity to take note of the sporting and tourist achievements and structures of this city and to promote thereby for the Mediterranean Games,” said the minister, inviting Oran’s inhabitants to swing into action, like journalists, to contribute to the success of this sporting event.
Bouslimani welcomed the professional work of the agency Algeria Press Service (APS) in the coverage of the various events, like the Mediterranean Games and the outlined programme in anticipation of the double anniversary of the Independence and Youth, in addition to the Arab Summit which will be held in Algiers.
Accompanied by APS’ Director General Samir Gaïd, the minister visited the different departments of the Agency’s regional directorate, by visiting the editorial, photo and technical services where he received explanations on the functioning and the working conditions of this structure through their exchanges with the journalists and workers.
