SAINT PETERSBURG (Russia) – Friday, 28 July 2023 (APS) – Prime Minister Aymen Benabderrahmane, representing the president of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, in the works of the Russia-Africa Summit and its Economic and Humanitarian Forum in Saint Petersburg, attended Thursday evening a reception in the honour of the heads of the participating delegations.
Before the beginning of the reception, the Russian president greeted the prime minister who was among the chiefs of the delegations of the participating African countries, including heads of State and Government.
The attendees of the summit and the economic and humanitarian forum will discuss, over two days, the prospects of cooperation and multifaceted strategic partnership between African States and Russia.
Held under the theme “For Peace, Security and Development,” the summit is being attended by the representatives of 49 African countries, including 17 heads of State, to promote partnership, especially in the political, economic, scientific, technological, cultural and humanitarian fields.
The event is expected to adopt a number of documents on cooperation and the Plan of Action for the Russia-Africa Partnership Forum 2023-2026.
