ALGIERS – Wednesday, 01 November 2023 (APS) – The president of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, on Wednesday paid tribute to the martyrs of the Glorious National War of Liberation, at the Martyrs Memorial in Algiers, in commemoration of the 69th anniversary of the outbreak of the Revolution of 1 November 1954.
After reviewing a detachment of the Republican Guard that gave him the honors, President Tebboune laid a wreath at the commemorative stele and recited al-Fatiha (the first chapter of the Holy Qur’an) in memory of the martyrs of the Revolution.
The ceremony took place in the presence of senior State officials and members of the government.
