ALGIERS – Friday, 07 October 2022 (APS) – Prime Minister Aymen Benabderrahmane said Thursday that Algeria was moving decisively towards the top, “under the enlightened leadership of President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune, to take its rightful place among the developed nations,” pointing out that President Tebboune’s commitments were fulfilled by 80 percent.

Responding to the questions of MPs at the People’s National Assembly (lower house of Parliament), during the debate on the government’s general policy statement, Benabderrahmane said the statement “shows what has been achieved in the field despite gaps, which will be filled.”

The Prime Minister stressed that “the fruits of President Tebboune’s efforts are now visible with the fulfilment of over 80% of his programme, that is, 42 of the president’s 54 commitments.”

Algeria “has achieved significant milestones, accomplished the hardest and is moving decisively towards the top, under the enlightened leadership of the president of the Republic, the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces, the minister of National Defence, to take its rightful place among the developed countries with the contribution and mutual assistance of its children,” the Prime Minister said.

Mentioning the beneficiaries of the support for vocational integration and the support for degree holders at the end of their contracts, the prime minister said “the executive order promulgated in 2019 provides for the integration of those who were working until 31 October 2019, whose number has reached nearly 380,000 beneficiaries.”

A timetable has been established for the integration process to be completed before the end of 2023, he said, adding that the government had provided a financial budget for the operation estimated at about DZD100 billion.”
