ALGIERS – Wednesday, 15 November 2023 (APS) – President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune welcomed, in the meeting of the Council of minister that he chaired on Tuesday, the clear vision on the digital orientation of Algeria, pointing out that the main objective of this large-scale digitization project is to eliminate bureaucracy and adopt transparency in the management of public affairs.
The President of the Republic welcomed “the clear vision related to Algeria’s digital orientation” emphasized in the presentation of the High Commissioner for Digitization with the rank of minister, said a communiqué of the Council of ministers.
In this regard, the President of the Republic underlined that “the main objective of the large-scale digitization project is to eliminate bureaucracy hindering the projects, adopt transparency in the management of public affairs and to meticulously define the country’s needs in all the sectors.”
The Council of ministers approved the project for the creation of a “Data Centre by the Chinese company Huawei.”
