SHENZHEN (CHINA) – Friday, 21 July 2023 (APS) – The President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune paid a visit on Friday to the headquarters of the prestigious new technologies company “Huawei”, located in the southern Chinese city of Shenzhen.
During his visit, President Tebboune held lengthy discussions with Huawei founder Ren Zhengfei, highlighting “the advantages and facilities offered by Algeria to foreign investors”.
President Tebboune, accompanied by a ministerial delegation during the state visit to the People’s Republic of China which began last Monday, listened to presentations on new technology projects from the Chinese company, including one on warning and prevention systems for disasters such as fires and leaks.
In this regard, President Tebboune expressed Algeria’s interest in systems for managing network breakdowns and water leaks, with a view to integrating them “into the new Algerian cities”.
The Head of State also affirmed that “the use of cutting-edge technologies in education and teaching programs is part of the Algerian Government’s Action Plan”.
President Tebboune then made another presentation on the new technologies used in various industries linked to the energy sector, recalling the digitization process undertaken by our country since 2019 in all sectors.
