ALGIERS – Thursday, 25 August 2022 (APS) – President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune officially welcomed, on Thursday, his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron, at the headquarters of the Presidency of the Republic.
The French president began a three-day official visit to Algeria on Thursday afternoon at the head of a large delegation.
Upon his arrival at the Houari-Boumediene International Airport, he was received by President Tebboune, in the presence of the State’s senior officials and members of the Government.
At the Martyr’s Sanctuary (Algiers), President Macron laid a wreath of flowers and observed a minute of silence in memory of the martyrs of the glorious National Liberation War.
