ORAN (Algeria) – Thursday, 23 June 2022 (APS) – President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune on Thursday opened the Mediterranean village in Oran (432-km west of Algiers), forty-eight hours before the kickoff of the 19th Mediterranean Games (MG Oran 2022).
The Mediterranean village is a key element in the organization of an international sporting event like the Mediterranean Games.
During such events, this venue is the living place of all participants, athletes and officials.
For that purpose, the city of Oran has built a village stretching over an area of 39 hectares, with an accommodation capacity of 4,266 beds.
All amenities are available to offer residents a comfortable stay.
The Mediterranean village is located in the east of Oran, 20 km from the international airport, 10 km from the railway station and 2.5 km from the Olympic Complex of Oran, the main competition site.
