ALGIERS – Tuesday, 30 August 2022 (APS) – President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, held on Tuesday at the Presidency of the Republic, one-on-one talks with President of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau, Umaro Sissoco Embalo, who is on an official visit to Algeria.
Previously, President Tebboune had granted an official reception to his counterpart from Guinea-Bissau at the headquarters of the Presidency of the Republic.
In the morning, Sissoco Embalo had laid a wreath of flowers at the Martyr’s Memorial in Algiers and observed a minute of silence in memory of the martyrs of the National Liberation War.
He then went to the National Museum of the Mujahid where he listened to detailed explanations on the various stages that have marked the history of Algeria, including its struggle for the recovery of its national sovereignty.
The President of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau had begun Monday, a two-day official visit to Algeria.
Upon his arrival at the international airport Houari-Boumediene, he was received by Prime Minister, Aïmene Benabderrahmane, accompanied by Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community abroad, Ramtane Lamamra.
