ALGIERS – Monday, 17 April 2023 (APS) – President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune decided, in the meeting of the Council of ministers that he chaired on Sunday, to increase the solidarity allowance to DZD12,000 for those who receive DZD10,000 and to DZD7,000 for those receiving DZD3,000, reiterating his commitment to continuing the strategy aimed to improve the citizens’ living conditions, including retired people.

 

President of the Republic “has decided, as a first step, to increase the solidarity allowance to DZD12,000 for those receiving DZD10,000 and to DZD7,000 for those receiving currently DZD3,000,” said a statement of the Council of ministers, stressing that “about one million people will benefit from this increase.”

The Council of ministers “approved the modification of the law on retirement to adapt it to the exceptional increases in allowances and pensions, decided by the President of the Republic in January 2023, reiterating his commitment to continuing the strategy of improving the citizens’ living conditions, including retired people,” added the source.
