PEKIN – Tuesday, 18 July 2023 (APS) – President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, renewed on Tuesday in Beijing, his congratulations to the Chinese President, Xi Jinping, following his re-election as General Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC).
During his extended talks with his Chinese counterpart, President Abdelmadjid Tebboune once again congratulated President Xi Jinping on his re-election as SG of the CCP.
“My visit to China comes after the signing of important agreements setting out our historic relations,” said the President of the Republic, while expressing his profound thanks to China for its support for Algeria’s request to join the BRICS group and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
For his part, the Chinese President expressed his country’s commitment to “continuing to strengthen the friendly relations with with Algeria.”
Shortly before, President Abdelmadjid Tebboune was formally welcomed by his Chinese counterpart, Xi Jinping, at the Grand People’s Palace, in accordance with age-old Chinese customs and traditions.
The heartfelt hospitality granted to the President of the Republic in Beijing reflects the depth of relations between Algeria and China.
