ALGIERS – Thursday, 07 September 2023 (APS) – The president of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, carried out Wednesday a broad reshuffle in the body of walis (provincial governors) and deputy walis, the presidency of the Republic said in a statement.

“The president of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, carried out on Wednesday, 21 Safar 1445, corresponding to 6 September 2023, a large-scale reshuffle in the body of walis and deputy walis:

– 11 walis and two deputy walis ministers have been terminated:

A- The walis:

1- Moulati Atallah, as wali of Chlef.

2- Nefla Samir, as wali of Oum El Bouaghi.

3- Deramchi Mohamed Amine, as wali of Setif.

4- Berimi Djamel Eddine, as wali of Annaba.

5- Aissa Boulahia, as wali of Mostaganem.

6- Rouabhi Omar, as wali of Mascara.

7- Yahiaten Yahia, as wali of Boumerdes.

8- Harfouche Benaarar, as wali of El Tarf.

9- Mokhbi Mohamed, as wali of Tindouf.

10- Chennouf Saad, as wali of Beni Abbes.

11- Sbaa Nacer, as wali of Touggourt.

B- The deputy walis:

1- Bagriche Youcef, as deputy wali of Hussein Dey.

2- Delfi Lyazid, as deputy wali of Dar El Beida.

– Nine walis and five deputy walis have been transferred:

A- The walis:

1- Mermouri Amoumen, transferred from the province of Tlemcen to the province of Saida.

2- Boudouh Ahmed, transferred from the province of Saida to the province of Mostaganem.

3- Djellaoui Abdelkader, transferred from the province of Msila to the province of Annaba.

4- Mohamedi Farid, transferred from the province of El Bayadh to the province of Mascara.

5- Nahila Laaredj, transferred from the province of Tissmsilt to the province of El

Meghaier.

6- Bechlaoui Youcef, transferred from the province of Timimoun to the province of Tlemcen.

7- Athmane Abdelaziz, transferred from the province of Bordj Badji Mokhtar to the province of Touggourt.

8- Ghmired Brahim, transferred from the province of In Salah to the province of Chlef.

9- Aissat Aissa, transferred from the province of El Mghaier to the province of Oum El Bouaghi.

B- The deputy walis:

1- Belahouene Nachida, transferred from Birtouta to Draria.

2- Bertima Abdelouahab, transferred from Draria to Baraki.

3- Boulsane Merouane, transferred from Rouiba to Birtouta.

4- Benchaoulia Mohamed Amine, transferred from Baraki to Sidi M’hamed.

5- Zinai Abdelwahab, transferred from Debdab to El Harrach.

– 12 new walis and seven new deputy walis have been appointed:

A- The walis:

1- Ouchane Brahim, wali of Blida.

2- Mustapha Limani, wali of Setif.

3- Tiar Nedjmeddine, wali of M’Sila.

4- Belaribi Noureddine, wali of El Bayadh.

5- Naama Fouzia, wali of Boumerdes.

6- Meziane Mohamed, wali of El Taref.

7- Daho Mustapha, wali of Tindouf.

8- Bouzaid Fethi, wali of Tissemsilt.

9- Souna Benamar, wali of Timimoun.

10- Dehimi Abderrahmane, wali of Bordj Badji Mokhtar.

11- Hashas Djamel Eddine, wali of Beni Abbes.

12 – Bendjima Abdelkader, wali of In Salah.

B- The deputy walis:

1- Nassib Nadjia, wali délégué d’Hussein Dey.

2- Yahmi Djilali, wali délégué de Rouiba.

3- Benyoucef Ahmed, wali délégué de Bab El Oued.

4- Refsa Noureddine, wali délégué de Dar El Beida.

5- Bettioui Abdelkrim, wali délégué de Bouzaréah.

6- Rahmani Abderrahmane, wali délégué de Bir Mourad Rais.

7- Asmani Nasreddine, wali délégué de Debdab.”

The reshuffle has resulted in the promotion of 15 executives in the body of secretaries general of provinces, deputy walis, heads of sub-provinces and provincial directors to walis and deputy walis.
