ALGIERS – Friday, 28 July 2023 (APS) – The president of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, in a phone conversation with the rector of the Grand Mosque of Paris, Chems-Eddine Hafiz, commended the efforts made by this prestigious institution, welcoming in this regard the successful sending of 900 children of the national community to summer camps in Algeria, the presidency of the Republic said Thursday in a statement.

“In a phone conversation with the rector of the Grand Mosque of Paris, Chems-Eddine Hafiz, the president of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, commended the efforts made by this prestigious institution, welcoming the successful sending, by the mosque, of 900 children of the national community to summer camps in Algeria, providing an opportunity for our children living in France to discover the historical and national resources of Algeria,” the statement said.

The president of the Republic expressed “his full support to the rector of the Grand Mosque of Paris,” urging him to “increase such initiatives with the Algerian youths to create a harmonious atmosphere between Algeria and France.”
