ALGIERS – Tuesday, 11 October 2022 (APS) – The President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune chaired Tuesday a special meeting on market control and the fight against speculation, said the Presidency of the Republic in a statement.
“The President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune chaired a special meeting on market control and the fight against speculation,” said the statement.
The meeting focused on “the current market situation, disruptions in the distribution of certain consumer products, and the diagnosis of the malfunction. Subsequently, the President of the Republic gave instructions to fight and stand firmly against these behaviors.”
“The Prime Minister and the Ministers of Interior, Justice, Finance, Industry, Agriculture, Trade and Transport, as well as the heads of security services, attended the meeting,” said the communiqué.
