ALGIERS – Tuesday, 05 December 2023 (APS) – The president of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, in an opening address at the second African Startup Conference in Algiers on Tuesday, called on African entrepreneurs and project holders attending the event to coordinate their efforts to integrate the concepts of startups, innovation and entrepreneurship in the economic systems of African countries.
President Tebboune, in the address read on his behalf by Prime Minister, Nadir Larbaoui, said the move required an optimal use of the strengths and capacities of African youths, which have reached high-level mastery of the flow of information and knowledge provided by the new technologies.
The president of the Republic put forward the importance of strengthening the joint African action in the field, especially the initiative of the creation of a workshop open to dialogue and consultation.
A space, according to President Tebboune, devoted to the development of policies and working methods to enhance innovation capacities of African youths, and to draw highly qualified human resources from abroad and involve them in development projects in African countries.
