ALGIERS – Thursday, 14 December 2023 (APS) – President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune received on Thursday a written message from President of the State of Palestine, Mahmoud Abbas, regarding the current situation in the occupied Palestinian territories, according to a statement from the Presidency of the Republic.
“President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, has received a written message from President of the State of Palestine, Mahmoud Abbas, concerning the current situation in the occupied Palestinian territories and the brutal aggression committed by the occupying forces against the Palestinian people,” according to the source.
The message was delivered “during the meeting granted today by Prime Minister, Nadir Larbaoui, to Secretary of the Central Committee of the Palestinian Fatah movement, Jibril Rajoub.”
During the meeting, the Palestinian official “expressed the warm thanks and high esteem of the Palestinian State, leadership, government and people, to President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, and to the Algerian people, for Algeria’s constant and genuine position in support of the Palestinian cause.”
Jibril Rajoub also “strongly commended the strategic vision of the President of the Republic and the relevance of his efforts in favour of Palestinian national reconciliation, the only way to confront the occupation and its practices of aggression against the brotherly Palestinian people.”
