ORAN – Monday, 06 November 2023 (APS) – The Minister of Mujahideen and Rights Holders, Laid Rebiga, said Monday that the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, has always urged to place a special emphasis on the National Memory.

In a letter read on his behalf by the director of the Center for Studies and Research in the national movement and the revolution of 1 November 1954 Revolution, Noureddine Essad, in a symposium on the late Mujahid Ayadh Bouabdelli, organized in Oran, the minister said that “the Ministry works to preserve the Memory of mujahideen and martyrs, affirming that the instructions of the President of the Republic always urge to give the required attention to the National Memory.”

This is mirrored, he said, through the commemoration of the anniversaries of the Revolution’s symbols and its courageous men as a way of acknowledging their sacrifices and remaining loyal to their legacy.

Rebiga said that this event, on Sheikh mujaheed Ayadh Bouabdelli and his contributions to the national movement, the liberation war, and the building of post-independent Algeria, constitutes a fitting opportunity to reexamine the qualities and works of the man and the scholar that he was.

For his part, the PhD history researcher Sadek Benkada, said during this symposium, organized by the provincial office of the National Organization of Mujahideen, that Sheikh Bouabdelli was a figure distinguished by his knowledge, faith, daring, courage, wisdom and, at the same time, humility.
