ALGIERS – Sunday, 14 May 2023 (APS) – President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune ordered, during the meeting of the Council of Ministers he chaired on Sunday, to speed up the implementation of the zinc and lead deposit exploitation project in Oued Amizour (province of Bejaia), the Presidency of the Republic said in a statement.
After recalling the “major” economic importance of this project, President Tebboune ordered to “reduce all the delays linked to the secondary technical sites to accelerate the launching of this project, especially since the stage of administrative regularisations has been exceeded”, the source said.
The President of the Republic has instructed “to adopt a 24-hour shift system to speed up the project’s implementation, given its positive impact nationwide”, the same source added.
