MOSCOW – Wednesday, 14 June 2023 (APS) – President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune held talks in Moscow on Wednesday with President of the Russian Federation Council, Valentina Matvienko. At the end of the meeting, the President of the Republic signed the Council’s golden register and took a souvenir photo with senior members of this legislative institution.

On this occasion, the Russian Federation Council exhibited photos of Matvienko’s recent visit to Algeria.
President Tebboune’s talks with Matvienko were held as part of the President’s three-day State visit to Russia at the invitation of his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin.
During his visit, which is part of the efforts aimed at strengthening cooperation between the two friendly countries, President Tebboune will take part in the work of the St Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).
