MOSCOW – Thursday, 15 June 2023 (APS) – President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune expressed on Thursday in Moscow, his satisfaction at the “convergence of views”on the issues discussed during his talks with his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, particularly the Sahrawi and Palestinian issues and the situation in the Sahel.
In a joint statement with President Vladimir Putin, the President “expressed his satisfaction at the convergence of views on the issues discussed during their talks, including the Western Sahara, the situation in the Sahel and the Palestinian cause, as well as ongoing developments in the Middle East and Libya.”
“We agree on all the topics tackled by His Excellency President Vladimir Putin in his speech,” said the president of the Republic.
After expressing his “heartfelt thanks” to his Russian counterpart for “warm welcome that makes one feel at home,” the President of the Republic said that this visit “is part of our country’s efforts to strengthen its relations with Russia.”
President Tebboune described his talks with his Russian counterpart as “fruitful, frank and sincere,” in that “they reflect the level of the privileged political relations and confirm the shared willingness to continue political dialogue.”
