ALGIERS – Sunday, 10 September 2023 (APS) – The president of the Italian Council of State, Luigi Maruotti, on Sunday in Algiers, welcomed strong bonds of friendship between his country and Algeria as well as the special level of bilateral friendship.

In an address following the audience granted to him and the delegation accompanying him, the minister of Relations with Parliament, Basma Azouar, at the headquarters of the ministry, Maruotti said “Algeria and Italy are linked by strong ties of friendship.”

He added that “the two countries are neighbors in the Mediterranean basin and have many common points.”

The president of the Italian Council of State stressed that “Algeria’s position is very significant to Italy in the creation of balances on several issues.”

On the twinning between the ministry of Relations with Parliament and the Italian Council of State, Maruotti emphasized “the important conclusions reached by both parties through the twinning programme and the fruitful discussions.”
