ALGIERS – Sunday, 15 May 2022 (APS) – The minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Ramtane Lamamra, received Saturday in Algiers US Ambassador Bisa Williams who is on a visit to Algeria as a representative of the Carter Centre that serves as an “independent observer” for the implementation of the agreement on peace and reconciliation in Mali, stemming from Algiers process.
The two sides discussed the progress of the actions and efforts made by Algeria as the leader of the international mediation and the committee monitoring the peace and reconciliation agreement, in order to revive the agreement’s implementation process through the fulfilment, by the Malian parties, of their commitments and the achievement of concrete results in the implementation of the various provisions of the Agreement, the ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.
