ORAN – Monday, 13 November 2023 (APS) – The 11th North Africa Energy & Hydrogen Exhibition & Conference “NAPEC 2023” kicked off Monday at the Convention Centre of Oran with the participation of 500 exhibitors from 45 countries.

The Exhibition was inaugurated by the Secretary General of the Ministry of Energy and Mines Abdelkrim Aouissi, in the presence of Sonatrach’s CEO Rachid Hachichi, President of the National Agency for the Valorization of Hydrocarbon Resources (ALNAFT) Mourad Beldjehem, President of the Hydrocarbon Regulatory Authority (ARH) Rachid Nadil, as well as ambassadors from several countries.

This edition, organized under the slogan “Promoting Gradual Energy Transition through Technological Innovation,” is meant to be a major event to discuss the gradual energy transition and the future of fossil energies in the global energy context, a statement announcing the event said.

This year’s edition, like the previous ones, will bring together oil and gas operators as well as providers of hydrocarbon and energy products and services.

This 11th NAPEC will see the participation of the Ministry of Energy and Mines, of Sonatrach Group and its subsidiaries, ALNAFT, ARH, of Sonelgaz Group, as well as big global energy firms from all over the world, said “NAPEC” Sarl, the event’s organizer.

NAPEC will deal, this year, with a large number of key themes to catalyze this transformation related to the gradual energy transition. It will also discuss the role of fossil energies in the future energy landscape, including the potential technologies for a cleaner use of fossil energies and Low Carbon Businesses, according to the source.

The 11th NAPEC will also be an opportunity to discuss themes , according to the event’s organizers, on “ the exploration and production: challenges and opportunities,” “Decarbonization strategies and solutions for energy industry (Low Carbon Business),” “the hydrogen as key vector of transition” and “the energy efficiency in the industry to reduce energy consumption is a priority for a more sustainable future.”
