ALGIERS – Thursday, 13 October 2022 (APS) – The Secretary General of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) will pay, from 15 to 17 October, a working visit to Algeria, the Ministry of Energy and Mines said Thursday in a statement.

 

“At the invitation of Minister of Energy and Mines Mohamed Arkab, the Secretary General of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) Haitham Al Ghais will pay, from 15 to 17 October, a working visit to Algiers,” said the source.

Energy minister and OPEC’s SG will hold a working meeting on the situation of the global oil market and its development prospects in the short and medium terms, said the source.

During his visit, Ghais will also have talks with top officials of Algeria’s hydrocarbon sector, notably with the CEO of Sonatrach Group.
