ALGIERS – Tuesday, 14 November 2023 (APS) – Nicaragua’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Denis Ronaldo Moncada Colindres affirmed Monday his country’s willingness to extend the cooperation relations with Algeria to include different fields, notably by activating the joint economic and technical cooperation committee between the two countries.

In a statement following the audience granted to him by the President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune, Nicaraguan minister said that “the cooperation relations between the two countries are very fruitful. We hope to further strengthen them by activating the joint economic and technical cooperation committee.”

Welcoming “the strong friendship ties” between the two countries, Moncada Colindres underlined his country’s willingness “to extend them to include the diplomatic and economic relations, trading, international cooperation, in addition to the exchange of analyses and views on topical international issues pertinent to our two countries.”

Dubbing “very important” and “positive” his meeting with the President of the Republic, he said that he transmitted to President Tebboune a message from his counterpart Daniel Ortega.

He voiced his hope that President Tebboune will “accept the invitation of paying a visit to Nicaragua as soon as the conditions allow.”

Moncada Colindres said that he will transmit “the invitation extended by President Tebboune to President Ortega to visit Algeria, a friendly country,” expressing his gratitude for “the warm welcome he received and for the friendship gestures by President Tebboune.”

The audience took place in the presence of Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad Ahmed Attaf and acting Principal Private Secretary at the Presidency of the Republic Boualem Boualem.
