ALGIERS – Wednesday, 18 May 2022 (APS) – President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune hailed on Wednesday, in a message on the occasion of the National Student Day, the significant contribution made by the university corporation in the service of the Algerian universities which have trained about 5 million students since the independence.
“While we are proud today of the achievements made by the university every year as the number of the graduates has reached, since the independence, about 5 million, we hail the role played by the university corporation in the revival of the sector, by deploying efforts and providing significant contribution in the service of the Algerian university,” President of the Republic said in his message.
He underlined the important achievements of the Algerian university, “like the construction of national higher schools in several cutting-edge scientific specialities, the launch of centers of excellence that are henceforth operational, the creation of several research laboratories, the optimization of educational performance and training quality as well as the improvement of the graduates’ skills.”
All these achievements, wrote President Tebboune, will contribute to “the emergence of a university able to host the free thought, serious dialogue, constructive criticism and an opening to its own environment, by laying the foundations of a partnership with the economic, cultural and social establishments, then to the exterior world by interacting with the biggest universities and by accomplishing significant achievements in the scientific research.”
