ALGIERS – Wednesday, 06 September 2023 (APS) – The minister of Communication, Mohamed Laagab, met Tuesday at the headquarters of the ministry in Algiers, the directors general of the media institutions under its supervision, the ministry said in a statement.
Chairing his first meeting with the public media leaders, Laagab listened to their concerns and their elaborate explanations on the operation of each institution, according to the statement.
During the meeting, the minister stressed “the need to address the mentioned problems,” deeming it essential to “give the highest importance to the promotion of media action, through constructive and professional contents.”
The minister invited the heads of those institutions “to submit an elaborate and objective report to draw a roadmap.”
The meeting was an opportunity for the minister to express “his desire to remove barriers, through cooperation and coordination between the different bodies at all levels,” the statement concluded.
