ALGIERS – Friday, 09 June 2023 (APS) – The Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Mohamed Abdelhafid Henni was received in Caracas by the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro, said Friday the ministry in a statement.
The audience took place on the sidelines of Henni’s participation in the 4th session of the Algeria-Venezuela Joint Commission for Economic, Commercial, Scientific, Technical and Cultural Cooperation, held on 8-9 June in Caracas, the statement said.
The meeting was an opportunity to discuss ways to boost partnership and cooperation between the two countries.
Henni welcomed the high level of friendly relations between Algeria and Venezuela, which are moving towards a better future and working together to strengthen their bilateral cooperation.
This visit aims to “strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries, which are of extreme importance in view of the privileged historical relations”, and to “implement the decisions of the higher authorities taken at the bilateral summit between the leaders of the two countries, held on the occasion of the friendship and working visit of the Venezuelan President to Algeria in June 2022.
