ORAN – Thursday, 23 June 2022 (APS) – The first sports delegations participating in the 19th edition of the Oran Mediterranean Games, which arrived in Oran Wednesday, were welcomed in “excellent conditions,” said the MG Commissioner, Mohamed Aziz Derouaz.
The delegation from North Macedonia was the first to arrive on Tuesday, while around 1200 athletes and coaches are expected to land in Oran on Wednesday, said the source in a statement to the newspaper “El Djoumhouria “.
Derouaz said that the welcome, transport, accommodation, and catering conditions of the first delegations “were perfect,” stressing that all measures have been taken for this purpose.
Regarding the preparations for this event, the Commissioner of MG stated that all the sports facilities selected for the competitions are 100% ready, noting that two additional accommodation sites have been mobilized to receive the athletes.
“Les Andalouses” Tourist Complex in Ain Turck is reserved for female athletes (sailing and handball), and the “AZ3” Hotel in Mostaganem will host participants in the men’s football and handball events.
