ALGIERS – Thursday, 14 December 2023 (APS) – The secretary general of the ministry of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Lounes Magramane, on Wednesday, in Stockholm, co-chaired with his counterpart, Jan Knutsson, the Kingdom of Sweden’s secretary of state for Foreign Affairs, the Algeria-Sweden bilateral political consultations session, the ministry said in a statement.
The two sides discussed the bilateral relations and considered the prospects of strengthening them in different fields.
The meeting was also an opportunity to identify mutually beneficial cooperation projects, mainly in the fields of digitization, start-up, energy, environment, education and academic exchanges, agriculture and industry, the statement said.
The session also tackled regional and international issues of common interest, especially the situation in occupied Palestine, occupied Western Sahara, the situation in the Sahel region, according to the statement.
