BLIDA (Algeria) – Sunday, 24 September 2023 (APS) – The minister of State for Women’s Affairs at the Libyan Government of National Union, Houria Khalifa Termal, on Saturday praised the pioneering experience of Algeria in terms of women’s social, economic and political empowerment and advancement.

The Libyan minister, who got details on some success stories of Algerian productive women, was accompanied by Algerian minister of National Solidarity, Family and Women’s Affairs, Kaouthar Krikou, commended Algeria’s “pioneer” experience in women’s empowerment.

She expressed wish to see her country “benefiting from it” and to “establish cooperation between the two sides.”

“Libya, which is in the stage of recovery from the political crisis, wants to benefit from the Algerian experience, especially in terms of productive women and family, and to exchange experiences with brotherly countries, especially Algeria,” Termal said.

The Libyan official revealed a joint exhibition project between productive Algerian and Libyan families, which will “be an opportunity to exchange experiences and market women’s products.”
