ALGIERS – Sunday, 14 May 2023 (APS) – A large Argentinian economic delegation started on Saturday a working visit to Algeria in order to strengthen the bilateral relations, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad said in a statement.

This visit, which lasts until Wednesday, is part of “the strengthening of the friendship and cooperation relations between Algeria and Argentina, following the holding, in November 2022, of the 7th bilateral political consultations,” said the source.

The operators of this mission, made up of more than forty members representing the Argentinian institutional and economic spheres, will meet in Algeria with their interlocutors, representing national economic operators and bodies, according to the source.

In this respect, the Argentinian delegation will take part on Monday in the economic forum organized by the Ministry of Trade and Exports Promotion with the Algerian Chamber of Trade and Industry (CACI), in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad.

This event will be marked by the participation of representatives of economic institutions, bodies and operators of the two countries.

The works of the aforementioned Forum will examine cooperation and partnership opportunities in different sectors, notably those of agriculture and industry.

During this forum, papers will be presented on the system of promotion of non-hydrocarbon exports and business climate in Algeria in light, notably, of new legal framework governing investment.

The ministry underlined in its statement that Argentina is “one of Algeria’s main partners in Latin America and the Caribbean, with which our country works to further deepen and diversify its bilateral relations.”

“This mission reflects the willingness of the two countries’ top authorities to give fresh impetus to the bilateral cooperation and the strengthening of the economic exchanges and  partnership, so that to raise them up to the two economies’ potentials,” according to the source.
