ALGIERS – Wednesday, 28 September 2022 (APS) – The Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Ramtane Lamamra received Wednesday the Deputy Secretary General of the Arab League, Hossam Zaki, as part of the continued coordination of efforts with the Algerian authorities which are completing the preparations for the Arab Summit scheduled for 1-2 November in Algiers, said the ministry in a statement.
“FM Lamamra chaired, in the presence of delegations from both parties, a meeting on all organizational aspects and measures taken by the Algerian authorities to host the Arab delegations in the best conditions,” said the same source.
Lamamra “welcomed the support provided by the Secretariat of the Arab League to Algeria throughout the preparations for the 31st Council of the Arab League at the Summit,” said the ministry.
For his part, Ambassador Hossam Zaki “expressed the recognition of the Secretariat of the Arab League to all Algerian institutions for the efforts, means and facilities provided.”
The Assistant Secretary General of the Arab League highlighted “the interest of the Algerian authorities in the smallest details relating to the organization and logistics to ensure the success of this important event,” welcoming the initiative of Algeria to make the 31st Summit a “zero paper” event for the first time in the history of meetings of the Arab League.
