NEW YORK (United Nations) – Tuesday, 20 September 2022The minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Ramtane Lamamra, in a consultation meeting of Arab foreign ministers in New York, stressed Algeria’s efforts to complete the preparation for a successful Arab Summit that would unify the word of Arab states, strengthen their position in international fora and enhance their contribution to addressing today’s global challenges.

The head of the Algerian diplomacy, attending the high-level segment of the 77th session of the UN General Assembly as representative of President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune, took part at a consultation meeting of Arab Foreign ministers convened by Libya’s minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, the chairwoman of the current session of the Arab League Ministerial Council.

The Arab ministers’ meeting, also attended by the secretary general of the Arab League, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, discussed several important Arab issues at the UN General Assembly’s agenda, especially the Palestinian cause.

Speaking at the meeting, Lamamra emphasized Algeria’s efforts to complete the preparation for a successful Arab Summit unifying the word of Arab States, strengthen their position in international fora and enhance their contribution to addressing today’s global challenges.
