BAMAKO – Friday, 02 September 2022 (APS) – Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Ramtane Lamamra, called Friday in Bamako for a full implementation of the Peace and Reconciliation Agreement in Mali resulting from the Algiers process to achieve a successful conclusion.
At this decisive stage in Mali’s history, we are all called upon to renew, individually and collectively, our commitment to fully implement the Peace and Reconciliation Agreement in Mali resulting from the Algiers process, and take concrete measures to ensure the success of this process,” said Lamamra in his speech at the opening of the sixth high-level meeting of the Monitoring Committee on the Implementation of the Peace and Reconciliation Agreement in Mali resulting from the Algiers process.
“It is certainly a heavy responsibility, but the noble goals we have set ourselves are well worth it,” he added.
According to the head of Algerian diplomacy, the sixth high-level meeting of the Monitoring Committee for the implementation of the Peace and Reconciliation Agreement in Mali resulting from the Algiers process “comes in an encouraging and promising Malian context.”
In this regard, the Minister stressed that “this meeting was held at a time when this brotherly and friendly country has undertaken important institutional reforms to achieve a profound re-foundation of the State and national institutions, thus offering new opportunities to address all the legitimate expectations of the people for a better future in reconciliation, peace and unity.”
